Snipppet Sunday - The Navy's Ghost - Ambushed by Love

Welcome to the Snippet Sunday on the Weird, the Wild, and the Wicked. Thank you so much for visiting. If you choose to comment today, I really appreciate it. Today I'm introducing my latest release, The Navy's Ghost, a military romantic suspense, though I call it my Menage a'SEALs. No paranormal critters in this one, though there's plenty of kick-ass adventure and hot sex. Just to be clear, this is a M/F/M erotic romance.

Ensign Christiana "Ghost" Brickman is taking the helo express home after almost bleeding out in an ambush. Her squad is around her and two of her teammates, Todd "Magic" Hunter and Lt. Jim "Retro" Waters are keeping an eye on her. And Magic has been having some unauthorized feelings for Chris.

As she lay dying on the grimy floor of the Nicaraguan warehouse, Magic’s feelings for Ensign Christiana Brickman had crystallized into blinding clarity. I love her. He’d ignored the thought in favor of saving her life, but now, with the squad around him and the action settled, it came roaring back into his mind, clear as day. Jubilation mixed with terror settled into his gut. No fraternization within the ranks. Too bad his heart couldn’t remember the rules.
“How’s she doing, Magic?” Retro shouted through the mic to Magic over the rotors.
“Stable for now. High as a kite, but stable.”
“Good to hear. Pilot says back on base in fifty mikes.”
“Roger that.”
“Why do they always use boys’ names for everything?”
Retro and Magic turned to the woman lying between them and met the clouded hazel gaze beneath the lowered brows. “Say again, Brickman?”
“Boys’ names. Why do they always use them for everything?”
“What are you talking about?” Retro raised an eyebrow.
“You know, Mike for minute, Roger for understood.” Brickman rolled her head to pin Retro with her focus. “Jimmy for futzing with locks. Hey, your name is Jim.” She licked her lips and swallowed. “I like your name, Jim Retro. And I like you, too. You’re handsome.”
“Yep. Definitely high as a kite.” Retro snorted and shot a smile at Magic. Todd tried to smile back, but his gut sank. What if she preferred Jim over him? Get your head back in the game. She’s never shown interest in any of us.

Uh-oh. It sounds like Magic has lost his heart to the one woman he's not supposed to want. There are several great authors on the Weekend Writing Warrior list and in the Snippet Sunday Facebook group. A few of my favorites are Anastasia Vitsky, SJ Maylee, Gem Sivad, Goran Zidar, Zee Monodee, and Karla Doyle.

If you're interested in more from The Navy's Ghost, here's the blurb:

A SEAL is strongest with her Team…

Ensign Christiana "Ghost" Brickman is the only female SEAL to survive BUD/S training, a real Navy Jane. But when an ambush ends her career as an active SEAL, she’s free to pursue other interests. Like her two best friends Lt. Jim "Retro" Waters and Chief Warrant Officer Todd "Magic" Hunter. She's wanted them for over a year, but never dared to approach them while in the squad.

Retro has fought his dark desires since high school, certain the need to share a woman unnatural. Magic had never considered sharing before Ghost mentions it, but it solves his dilemma of choosing between his best friend and his woman. But Retro balks at Ghost’s offer to share and retreats from both when she marries Magic.

Everyone feels Retro’s loss, but he ignores the ache of their broken connection in favor of living ‘normal.’ When Ghost and the other wives of Beta Squad are kidnapped, Retro must reevaluate how much both Ghost and Magic mean to him. And he must decide how far he's willing to go to save the woman he loves, before she becomes the Navy's ghost.

It's available now at Smashwords, Amazon, All Romance eBooks, and Barnes&Noble. Thanks so much for stopping by and happy reading. :)

Mid Week Tease - The Navy's Ghost - A Brand New Nickname

Welcome to the Weird, the Wild, & the Wicked for this week's Mid Week Tease hosted by Sandra Bunino.

Authors: this is a great opportunity to spotlight a few lines or even a paragraph or two from a new release or backlisted title. Readers: you get to sample some delicious snippets! We’ll do our best to tease, titillate and tantalize you into the weekend.

My Mid Week Tease is from my upcoming release The Navy's Ghost. Ensign Christiana Brickman woke up in the hospital with a broken and torn leg. She's out of the SEALs, but she's always worried about her squad. Fortunately, the men are just as concerned with her.

“Did you catch them all, sir?” Crushing the terrorist cell would improve her mood.
“Yes. Bravo Squad went in at 1900 the day you returned to Coronado.” The lt. commander lost his smile, but fierce triumph glowed in his eyes. Hooyah, they’d gotten the bastards. She nodded her gratitude, but her gut clenched with loss. She’d been left behind already.
“Glad to hear it, sir. Would you pass on my congrats to the squad, sir?”
“Will do, Ensign.” A half-smile curled his lips. “They also took your nickname for the Squad.”
“My nickname, sir?” Chris blinked.
“Bravo Squad does it mo’betta?” He chuckled at her blank stare. “They shortened it to Beta Squad, because they’re second to none.”
Chris gaped at her CO. “Did I really say that, sir?”
“Yes, Ensign. Under the influence of morphine. I have multiple reports.” He raised an eyebrow. “You don’t remember?”
“No, sir.”
“They’ve adapted it out of honor and affection for you, Brickman.”
“Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.”
“They are all looking forward to seeing you.”
“Thank you, sir.” Chris didn’t really want them to see her like this.
They lapsed into silence again. What more was there to say? The squad had vanquished the terrorist cell and only she’d sustained injuries. At least as far as she knew.
“Was anyone else wounded in the latest op?”
“No, Ensign. The squad came through without a scratch this time.”
This time. Chris tried not to take it personally, but the phrase stuck in her mind.

The Navy's Ghost will be available on Smashwords, ARe, and Amazon on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013

Double the Trouble - Two Sunset Point Stories from Hennessee Andrews and Susan Hayes

It's the ultimate #MenageMonday...

Off the coast of Florida, surrounded by sand and sea, there lies a secluded island that has a very interesting history and an even more intriguing present…

Sunset Point Island is a tropical Mecca, consisting of a quaint town, a lavish resort area and a top-grade security force that keeps its wealthy inhabitants safe. But there is more to Sunset Point that first meets the eye. Founded by those seeking a haven for their unusual lifestyles, this island is a place where ménage relationships are cherished and protected. Closed off from the outside world, Sunset Point is a place of fantasies…won’t you come join us?

Tattoos and Cupcakes Blurb:

Being sequestered on Sunset Point Island is the least of Lane Erikson’s worries. Being a witness to a murder may be her demise. What does one do when a network of FBI wanted criminals are looking to kill you? You run like hell, even it’s to a place you’ve never heard of.
Dane Hutchinson, local tattoo artist, sets his sights on winning Lane’s affection and sharing her with Bannock Garrison, Sunset Point police officer. Bannock never wanted a ménage relationship, even though his parents have lived a happy life in one. The idea of sharing a woman bothers him, but losing Dane’s friendship bothers him more.
As the relationship begins to soar with possibilities, Lane is faced with her world crashing down again and her life hangs in the balance. Can Bannock and his colleagues save the day? More importantly, can Bannock overcome his distrust for women and allow Lane into his heart and share her with his best friend?

Story Excerpt:

The rush of the waves crashing in filled the silence between them. Dane wasn’t sure how to proceed from there. Seeing how she worked at avoiding his questions and sounded almost insincere when answering, Dane knew that Bannock was correct in one aspect. Reece was in fact hiding something. Now whether or not it was worth hiding, he couldn’t be sure, but he doubted she was a criminal or anything. How he’d really like to know what brought her here. All he could come up with was serendipity.
They sipped their wine and together looked out to the ocean, mesmerized by the moonlight playing on the water. Reece’s glass was almost empty, so Dane refilled it and his own as well.
“When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?” She asked as she scanned the view before them.
Dane chuckled, amused at his dream from so long ago. “I wanted to be a rock star.”
Reece laughed with a cute, infectious tone that made him smile. “What about you?”
“Well, as young girl, I wasn’t much to look at. I hated my hair and my freckles. A geek, I was quite a case, all gangly, tall and thin, towering well above most all in my class, even the boys.” She smiled and shook her head. “I always dreamt of growing up, growing out of the goofy stage. I’ve had just one goal my entire life.”
“And what’s that?”
“I wanted to be that ugly duckling that became a swan. I wanted to see myself gracing the spread of a high fashion magazine as a model. I yearned to prove I was worthy, capable.” She seemed to be reminiscing.
“And what about now?”
“I find that I still seek that validation, but the importance is not as much now, since I’ve been here.”
Dane listened, knowing that concealed in her words was the story he wanted to know. If she was just there on vacation, she was taking quite an extended one. On the other hand, if she was there to sort out her life, she seemed well on her way to accomplishing the task. What happened back in Kansas? He wondered, but refused to ask. Under the cover of her long black lashes, he could see pain in her eyes, although she tried hard to cover it. “You’re gorgeous whether or not you’re in a magazine. Seeking approval from others is a tough business. I’ve been there.”
“Yes it is a tough business.” She looked down into her wine glass for a moment. “It’s okay to change my mind about what I want to be when I grow up, isn’t it?”
“Of course it is.” Dane scooted closer to her and lifted her chin with his finger so she was forced to look at him. “You can change your mind a thousand times if you’d like. Happiness is the key. As long as you’re happy, the world can go to hell.”
She smiled and it reached her eyes this time. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her right then. He also wanted to kiss away the pain he sensed inside her. He wanted to hold her and assure that no matter what was going on, she’d be okay and he’d be there if she needed him.
“I’ve never been this close to an angel.”
Reece’s smile faded and she blinked her eyes as if she didn’t believe him. A serious expression replaced it.
“Kiss me, please.”
Reece moved swiftly, throwing her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his. He could feel the urgency in her kiss and it matched his own. The kiss deepened, her mouth sweet with the flavor of the wine. Their tongues swept together, finding harmony, and a sensual rhythm. Her innocent scent enveloped his senses, pulling him in. His hand ran through her thick, fire red hair, so soft on his skin. He missed this, the feel of a woman, the scent of a woman. His hand grazed her bare shoulder with his other hand, loving the smooth, satiny feel of her skin. He wanted to caress her all over and get lost in the curves of her body, explore her soft flesh while finding all the little areas that drove her wild.
The kiss heightened Dane’s arousal. He wanted her, right there on the soft grass with the waves singing their sensual song, serenading them under the moonlight. By her response, she wanted it too, but Dane couldn’t, and wouldn’t go any further. Pure emotion and sexual tension was pushing him and he decided he couldn’t allow his cock to lead, not yet anyway. He worked to slow it down, his hormones raged against him while he fought for control.
They regained coherent thoughts not affected by lust, placing their lips together one last time before awkwardly backing away.
Reece blushed and flipped her hair back. “Sorry, that probably wasn’t the kind of kiss you were expecting.”
Dane was astonished. “No, it was much better.”

Breaking Point Blurb:

Lexa Fox lost her childhood the day her mother took her and fled Sunset Point. Twenty-three years later, she’s returning to claim her inheritance from a father she barely remembers, in a place she doesn’t belong.
Detectives Beau Rivers and Diego Mendez grew up in ménage families and always knew they’d be a trio if they could find the right woman. They’d found her once, but fate took her out of their lives long before they were old enough to stake their claim. No woman since has ever managed to live up to their memories of Lexa, so when fate brings their childhood sweetheart back into their lives, they do everything they can to convince their gray-eyed, world-weary beauty to stay.
There are dangers to be faced and enemies to overcome, but in the end it’s up to her men to show her that some hearts never give up hope, and some loves have no Breaking Point.

Breaking Point Story Excerpt:

Lexa turned around and opened her mouth to say hello, only to find herself caught up in a powerful hug that lifted her off her feet. Her arms were trapped at her side and all she could do was laugh as Diego spun her around and then handed her off to Beau, who nearly crushed her to his chest with the force of his embrace.
“Hi,” she managed to squeak out as she stared up into a pair of aquamarine eyes. “Beau?”
“You do remember us!” Those beautiful eyes lit up as he gave her a lopsided grin. “I was starting to worry.” He lowered her slowly to her feet, and tried to squelch a gasp as she slid down his body and felt nothing but hard planes and solid muscle. Her pussy tingled and her entire body heated up a few degrees, then combusted into open flame as she lifted her head and found him staring down at her, his eyes sparkling with desire.
“I forgot some things I shouldn’t have,” Lexa whispered. “But I’m remembering it all now.”
“Good.” Diego laid a hand on her shoulder and gently spun her back in his direction. “Because we never forgot you.”
Lexa found herself mesmerized by a pair of dark eyes and a smile that made her panties damp. “Outside. Air,” she muttered, her brain only partially working.
“I think that might be a good idea, we seem to be holding up the auction.” Beau laughed and Lexa glanced around to see everyone was watching their reunion.
“Shit,” she breathed. “Just great. I so love being the center of attention.”
Diego slid an arm around her shoulders and Beau’s hand landed in the small of her back and Lexa found herself being escorted to the nearest exit caught between two handsome men who towered over her. They guided her out into the hotel lobby and headed away from the main doors, leaving Lexa confused as to their destination.
“Uh, guys? Where are we going?” she asked, struggling to keep up to their much longer strides, no easy feat when she was the only one of the three wearing heels.
“We know a place.” Beau glanced down and winked at her. “Nice and private. We can catch up and play hooky from what would have been an incredibly boring evening.”
“But I—dinner—we can’t just leave and not come back.” Lexa looked from Beau to Diego and back again. “Can we? I mean Simon brought me, I shouldn’t leave him sitting there for very long.”
“Would you rather go back to Simon than talk to us?” Diego asked, his voice dropping to a low rumble.
“Well, no. I was going to try and track you guys down soon anyway so of course I want to talk to you.” She tossed a look over her shoulder as the lobby disappeared from sight. “But I was thinking five minutes out front, not—where the fuck are you two taking me anyway?”
“Did you just curse at us?” Beau’s delectable mouth was quirked up into a grin that made it hard for Lexa to remember she had asked a question.
“Yes, I cursed at you. I do that a lot when I’m annoyed. And right now I’m getting very fucking annoyed. You two lugs can’t just swan in and whisk me away like that. It’s rude!” Lexa dug her heels in and forced the men to stop. “I’m not going another damned step until you two tell me where we are going.”
“I don’t remember her being this stubborn,” Diego said.
“Then your memory is faulty, she was always this bloody minded.” Beau ran his hand slowly up Lexa’s spine, leaving a path of tingly heat in his wake. “She wasn’t this gorgeous though.”
“I’m right here. You can stop referring to me in the third person, Beau,” Lexa grumped and tried not to quiver as his fingers reversed course.
“Believe me, we know you’re here.” Diego moved so he was facing her, his fingertips brushing over the bare skin at the nape of her neck. “We’re very happy about that. You have no idea how happy.”
Lexa looked up into Diego’s chocolate brown eyes and was amazed at the heat burning in their depths. “Guys? We’re in the middle of a hotel. Whatever you think is going to happen, is not happening, and it is especially not happening out here in public.”
“Just a taste, please?” Diego murmured and lowered his head until their breath mingled and she could feel the heat of his skin shimmering against hers.
“Whoa, Dig! What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Diego’s childhood nickname tumbled out of Lexa’s mouth as she tugged her head back and away from him. She tried to move away but Diego’s hand spanned the back of her neck, making it impossible to step backward more than a few inches.
“I’m saying hello to an old friend,” Diego stated and then kissed her, his lips gentle as they lingered over hers. Before she could muster the brainpower to react he withdrew, leaving her heart pounding and her legs shaking in response to his touch.
“Hell, if you get to say hello with a kiss, so do I,” Beau said and moved in behind her so that her small body was tucked up against his. She could feel every hard inch of him as Beau leaned in and kissed her cheek. “We missed you,” he whispered against her skin and then moved back just enough to nuzzle her ear. “Can you tell?” Lexa’s insides turned to liquid heat and a shiver of eager need raced through her, obliterating every thought and instinct but an overwhelming urge to throw herself at one or both of the breath-stealing hunks currently touching her.

5 Questions of a Paranormal Erotic Romance Author, Susan Hayes, and #Giveaway

Welcome back to the Weird, the Wild, and the Wicked. Today I have the honor of hosting paranormal erotic romance author Susan Hayes with a new release through Siren Publishing, Eternal Bonds. Susan has jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and it’s that kind of adventure loving personality that has made her such a joy to connect with. Plus she’s from the Canadian west coast, which has a special place in my heart, so it makes her even more wonderful. Susan is graciously offering a giveaway and an excerpt of Eternal Bonds. This new story is a M/F/M ménage and if that’s not your cup of tea, please exit stage left now. ;)

Welcome, Susan. Thank you for being with me today.

Hi Siobhan, and thank you so much for having me as a guest!

I love to have you on my blog, Susan. So what started you on the path to becoming an erotic romance author?

The blame for that falls firmly at the feet of my best friend. She and I were online D&D players. (Yes, I’m one of those…I even have pink dice.) The games were heavy on diplomacy and story telling, and our little portion of the map always seemed to fill up with lovers and their stories. Eventually I got brave enough to try writing solo, and with a lot of encouragement from my best friend, I started submitting to publishers. That was seven books ago.

Wow! Seven books. Nicely done. Congratulations on your latest release on Eternal Bonds with Siren Publishing. Introduce us to the main characters and premise of your story.

Thank you!  Eternal Bonds is the story of Duncan, Jared and Tabitha. Duncan wants Tabitha but after a brutal betrayal, he’s  sworn to never bring another person into the dark life of a vampire. Jared is Duncan’s guardian and companion of more than seventy-five years, a human enhanced by years of feeding off of Duncan’s blood. Tabitha is human, struggling to make ends meet while fantasizing over the sexy doctor who only works the night shift. When an old enemy reappears, Tabitha becomes a pawn in a vicious game of revenge, forcing Duncan to break his vow in order to protect her.

Did anything in particular inspire this story?

I love vampire tales, and I’ve written several, but until now I’ve always cast the vamp as the villain. This time a fellow writer challenged me to make them the hero, and I swear Duncan was in my head whispering the next minute, telling me his story.

Vampires are well loved in the paranormal romance realm. What’s special about your vampires?

Unlike some vampires, Duncan isn’t removed from the world of humans, he’s actually taking part in it. He works as a doctor at a busy Chicago hospital helping people every day, as well as acting as their guardian, keeping other vampires and paranormal threats out of his territory.

What other projects are on the horizon for you that we’re likely to see?

I have a science fiction based ménage submitted to Siren Publishing right now, and if they accept then I hope to see that coming out late summer or early autumn. Right now I’m working on the next book in my Kismet Cove series, which is a ménage series about a colony of selkies living out on the Canadian west coast.

Oooh, Selkies. That sounds great. Thank you for joining me today, Susan, and we look forward to all your upcoming releases!

If you’d like a copy of Evernal Bonds, you can find it at:

And be sure to check out Susan’s other books.

You can find Susan at:
Google +: susanhayesromance@gmail.com

Susan is offering an ecopy of Eternal Bonds to one lucky commenter who answers: Who is your favorite vampire hero and what makes him get your blood pumping? Please leave your email address or Twitter handle in your comment. You must be over 18 years of age to win and please void where prohibited.

The giveaway is open internationally and goes until 8 pm Thursday, July 4 2013 and the winner will be announced here on the blog on Friday.

EXCERPT

One minute they’d all been sitting around the table and the next minute Tabi found herself the filling in a man-sandwich straight out of her wildest fantasies. She dragged a hit of air into her lungs and caught the scent of both men as they surrounded her. Her breasts instantly tightened and her pussy tingled as she felt the hard, muscled bodies of both men press into her. Two hot, handsome bodies that had moved so fast they’d been a blur. That thought snapped her back to the present with a crash. “Let me go!”

“No, lass. Not until you’ve calmed down.”

“You’re telling me to calm down again? Didn’t you learn anything from the last time we had this conversation? You can’t just tell me to be calm every time the weird-shit-meter hits eleven!” She felt Jared’s chest vibrate with laughter and she turned her head to glower at him. “And you! Care to explain how you did that? No one moves that fast unless they’re from the planet Krypton!’ “Boss? I think we’re going to have to explain.”

“Indeed,” Duncan sighed. “Did you have to move like that? You scared her.”

“Me? You were the one who had her ready to bolt like a scalded cat!”

“Guys? Hello? She is standing right here and she’d really like some answers!” Tabi was getting tired of being talked about like she didn’t have ears. In an attempt to get some breathing room she worked a hand between herself and each of their chests intent on pushing them away, but the act of rubbing her way up their hard bodies started another line of thinking altogether. Her thoughts derailed into a pileup of hot fantasies and lust, and instead of pushing she simply left her fingers splayed across two solid walls of male muscle.

Both men pushed in closer, until she was caught between twin pillars of sex and heat that had her blood simmering and her brain mushy. Jared covered her hand with his so that it was held firmly just over his heart while Duncan turned her until his mouth could capture hers. This time his kiss was gentle, tender and intended to comfort, and Tabi was too overwhelmed by her desires to do anything else but tangle her fingers into Duncan’s shirt and pull him in closer as she answered his kiss in kind. Jared lifted his hand from her shoulder to sweep her hair back from her neck, dropping delicate kisses along the edge of the bandage.

“Mine,” Duncan growled in warning and tugged her harder against him, pulling her a half step away from Jared.

“No,” Jared growled back and moved in behind her, sandwiching her between them.

Duncan lifted his head and Tabi gasped as she saw his eyes. They were incandescent, glowing so brightly that it was as if there was a fire burning inside him.

This time Tabi did push away from him, straight back into Jared’s arms.

“What are you?” She managed to keep from screaming the question at Duncan, hanging onto her sanity by the barest of threads. What the hell had she just been kissing?

Jared wrapped his arms around her and stepped back from Duncan, taking Tabi with him. “Boss, you need to chill.”

Who were these two, the masters of understatement? “No, he needs to stop growling and glowing and tell me what the hell is going on! And both of you need to stop kissing me until I get some answers. My brain doesn’t work well when it’s drowning in hormones.” Oh god, she just said that out loud.

“Hormones?” Both men echoed her last word and Tabi nearly screamed with frustration. “Out of everything I said, you two focused on that word?” she snapped and tried pulling herself out of Jared’s embrace. She managed to twist slightly, but that was all. He was impossibly strong.
“This is going well,” Jared quipped in rueful tones.

“You’re not helping,” Duncan snarled, revealing a pair of long canines as he ran a hand through his hair, pulling it out of its customary tie. His eyes were only glowing a little now, but Tabi was too busy staring at his mouth and fighting Jared’s hold to really notice.

“You’ve got fangs? When did you get fangs?”

“Oh yeah, this is going fucking brilliantly.” Jared tightened his hold on Tabi and dropped his mouth to her ear. “It’s all right, honey. Neither of us is going to hurt you, but you’re going to hurt yourself if you keep struggling.”

Tabi stopped trying to get away and went still, finally accepting there was no point, not when Jared was so much stronger than she was. “Answers. I want answers right now or I’m going to start screaming.”

“Sure thing,” Jared drawled and loosened his hold on her slightly as he nuzzled her hair. “Duncan there is a three hundred year old vampire and I’ve been his guardian and companion for more than seventy-five years. You got your throat torn open by another vampire, and that’s why Duncan had to bring you back here.”

She’d heard enough, these men were insane.

Thanks for stopping by and happy reading! :)

5 Questions of a Contemporary Erotic Romance Author - Bianca Sommerland

Welcome back to the Weird, the Wild, and the Wicked. Today I have the honor of hosting romantic suspense author Bianca Sommerland with a new release, Offside, the fourth book in the Dartmouth Cobras series. I met Bianca in a discussion group for BDSM themed series, and she’s graciously offering an excerpt. Understand this is a BDSM themed erotic romance with M/M interactions and a ménage. If that is not your cup of tea, please exit stage left now. :)

Welcome, Bianca. Thank you for being with me today.

Thanks so much for having me! And for being part of the tour! I’m really excited about this book and I’m so happy I’m able to share that excitement by visiting all corners of the kinky web! <g>

What started you on the path to becoming an erotic romance author?

Umm…well, I started writing romance, but realized I’m not capable of the ‘behind closed doors thing’. I also LOVED reading ménage, but couldn’t find many books—at the time—that I thought did the relationships justice. So I decided to write my own. Went a little over the top too! Lol! This is where Rosemary Entwined—menage a sept—was born!

Wow! I'd say. :) Congratulations on your recent release on Offside: The Dartmouth Cobras. Introduce us to the main characters and premise of your story.

Sure! Here’s the blurb:

A pace ahead of the play can send you back to the start. And put everything you’ve worked for at risk.

Single mother and submissive Rebecca Bower abandoned her career as a sports reporter to become a media consultant with her brother’s hockey team. A failed marriage to a selfish man makes her wary of getting involved with another. Unfortunately, chemistry is hard to deny, and all her hormones are dancing when she gets close to the Cobra’s sniper, Scott Demyan.

Zachary Pearce ‘came out’ to the world last season to shift attention away from a teammate. And his one night with Scott Demyan had been unsettling. There could be more there, if only Scott was a different person. Instead, a night of sensual BDSM play with Becky leaves him wanting more, but she thinks he’s gay and questions his interest. It’s been a long time since a woman has attracted him both as a man and a Dom, and he’ll do everything in his power to prove she’s the only one he needs. Or wants. His one time with Scott was a mistake.

Scott might have forgotten what happened in his childhood, but the effects linger, and he specializes in drunken one-night stands…until he meets Zach and Becky and sees what he’s missing. But neither one believes Scott can be faithful. Although he’s trying hard to clean up his act to avoid getting kicked off the team, they want more from him. He’s willing to make changes, but the most important one—putting their happiness before his own—means he’ll probably end up alone.

Because this is the fourth book in the series, what happened to inspire this story?

All my stories basically come from the characters that are speaking the loudest to me at the time. All whisper throughout the other books, but the really determined ones make sure I won’t get much sleep until their voices are truly heard. :)

There aren’t very many romances around hockey teams that I’ve seen. What made you pick that sport as your backdrop?

It’s my passion. My obsession. The only thing that takes me away from writing. Now it doesn’t have to! Lol!

What other projects are on the horizon for you that we’re likely to see?

I have an angels and demons story I’m hoping to finish up within the next month or so. There’s a dub-con that was put on hold so I could write Offside, and I really want to step back to the dark side for a bit. I always have a dozen ideas waiting for me, so I’m sure you’ll see lots!

Thank you for joining me today, Bianca, and we look forward to all your upcoming releases!

My pleasure!

Excerpt:
“I believe we have some time to play, little doe.” He rolled her jeans down her thighs with her panties, a low growl rumbling from his chest as he grazed his teeth up her inner thigh. He picked her up as he rose, sitting her on a ladder rung. “Hands up.”
The metal of the ladder warmed under her bare bottom, and she licked her lips as he retrieved the tape from the floor, lifting her hands without question. Her whole body shook as he wrapped the tape around her wrists, and she watched him wrap the long length at the end around the ladder. The tape was thin enough to break if she tugged hard enough, but she wouldn’t. She would stay where he put her because there was nothing she wanted more than to let him have his way with her. He taped her ankles, parted her thighs, then restrained them to either side of the ladder rungs a few steps down from where she sat.
A rung dug into her back, and she shifted to ease the pressure. He observed her for a few seconds, slid a hand between her back and the rung, helping her arch away from it. Then he took a knee, sliding his scruffy cheek along her inner thigh, eyes on her face as he turned slightly to kiss her feverish flesh.
“I couldn’t go another day without tasting you, little doe. Every time you clenched your thighs, I knew your pussy was hot and wet and throbbing. It made my mouth water.” He let out a low, humming sound as he moved closer to her, inhaling deeply. “You smell so fucking sweet.” He used his fingers to part her pussy lips. His tongue slid from just below her slit, straight up to her clit. “Fuck, you’re delicious.”
She knocked her head against a rung, gasping as he licked along either side of her folds, trembling as he gently closed his teeth around her swollen nub. His tongue flicked over it once, then circled around it before sliding back down. As his tongue plunged into her, she cried out, fisting her hands above her head to keep from tugging at the restraints. Liquid fire spilled from her core, slicking his face as he thrust deeper. He used his fingers to stimulate her clit as he eased his tongue in and out. Her lips parted as the sensations coiled up within. Release was a breath away. All she had to do was let herself go.
“Not yet, pet,” Zach whispered, straightening just before she could surrender to the blinding rush of pleasure. He covered her lips with his, swallowing her cries of protest as he jerked his jeans down over his hips. The head of his bare cock pushed against her, and her brain snapped back into place. As much as she wanted him, she wouldn’t take any risks. He hushed her as she opened her mouth to tell him. “I have protection. I just wanted you to feel me, flesh on flesh, before something came between us.”
Groaning, she nodded, closing her eyes to absorb the incredible feeling of his dick sliding in her juices. She held her breath, slitting her eyes open as he stepped back and pulled out his wallet. He tossed it aside once he’d retrieved the condom. The sound of his tearing it open with his teeth had her quivering with anticipation. When he was covered, he positioned one hand behind her again. She hadn’t even noticed the ladder rung digging into her back until his hand cushioned her, his fingers smoothing away the slight dent the metal had made in her skin. All her focus was on his dick, slowing pressing into her.
“Becky.” Zach rested his forehead between her breasts, his breath coming out in a hot rush against her flesh. “You’re so fucking hot. So tight.”
She felt tight. Her hips shifted, the sweat dripping down her back mixing with the spill of her arousal, making the ladder rung under her ass wet. She hadn’t been with a man in so long. And the last time she’d been with one, she hadn’t had time to wonder how it would feel to be penetrated. Lost in a submissive haze, she’d relaxed into her restraints and just let it happen. Reveled in the pleasure she was giving. But Zach wouldn’t be satisfied with taking the pleasure she could give him. As he worked the head of his cock into her with slow, shallow thrusts, she knew it wouldn’t be enough for him unless she experienced the same level of pleasure as he did. Everything with him was give and take. And he would accept no less.
“I need you, Zach . . . I mean. I mean, Sir.” She rasped in air as he filled her, stretching her around him as he settled his hips between her thighs. “Oh, God! Don’t stop!”
He smiled against her lips as he kissed her. “I couldn’t if I wanted to. Brace yourself, pet.”

5 Questions of a Science Fiction Erotic Romance Author - Lynn Tyler

Welcome back to the Weird, the Wild, and the Wicked. Today I have the honor of hosting science fiction erotic romance author Lynn Tyler with her newest upcoming release, Their Rebel Mate. Lynn and I both publish with Siren Publishing and I share her delight in worlds beyond our own. Ms. Tyler is graciously offering an e-copy of the first book in her series, Mate for Two, to a lucky commenter.

Welcome, Lynn. Thank you for being with me today.

Thanks, Siobhan, for having me here today.

What started you on the path to becoming a romance author?

Honestly, I’ve always written for fun. It wasn’t until I was on maternity leave with my oldest child that I considered sharing my work. You see, maternity leave in Canada is twelve months and I did a lot of reading. My favourite authors couldn’t keep up with the speed that I read their books, so I decided to write what I would like to read.

It stayed private, my dream of writing professionally a quiet whisper in the back of my mind, until I got a little tipsy with two of my friends. I told them my secret and, to my surprise, they both encouraged me to look into having my work published. If it hadn’t been for them, and for the support of my husband, I never would have sent in my first book Be With Us to Siren.

Congratulations on your upcoming release of Their Rebel Mate. Introduce us to the main characters and premise of your story.

Their Rebel Mate releases on March 7, and picks up where Mate For Two left off, although they both can be read as stand alones. Basically, the Helan race has bred their female’s ability to carry female children out of their race in the quest to create the perfect male. After searching for generations for a species capable of bearing Helan young, they finally find Humans.

Of course, the perfect male is highly sexual…ahem… and Helans have not remained celibate. Instead, they have turned to other males to meet their needs, creating a race who strongly believes in ménage relationships.

Their Rebel Mate features the Helan Ambassador Thantos, his mate, Chief of Communications Kerek, and the leader of the Human resistance movement, Kim.

Sounds like a great premise. I'm interested. Did anything in particular inspire this story?

Originally, I was going to only write about the three brothers that were introduced in Mate For Two. But Thantos and Kerek had other ideas and wouldn’t let me write anything else until their story was told.

I can’t really say what my inspiration is though, because there isn’t anything in particular that inspires me to write ménage.

What made you choose the future and space as a setting for your story?

I wanted to write about a culture that not only accepted ménage relationships, but thrived on them. Since this doesn’t exist on Earth, I made up a race where it does exist!

What a cool idea. What other projects are on the horizon for you that we’re likely to see?

I’m working on a m/m werewolf book that follows up on my last release with Liquid Silver, Called to Mate. Refuge features the same pack.

Also, in April, I have Spring Mates, also a sequal to Called to Mate, will be released in a collection of short stories from Liquid Silver Books.

Thank you for joining me today, Lynn, and we look forward to all your upcoming releases!

It’s been my pleasure!

EXCERPT of Their Rebel Mate:

She tried counting sheep. Fail. She tried picturing a serene lake. Fail. She tried some deep breathing relaxation exercises. Epic fail.
In fact, the only thing she could see behind her closed lids was a whole lot of golden skin, tangled limbs, and hard cocks.
What would it be like to be in bed with so much masculinity? Her back arched at the sudden thought, and a rush of moisture gathered to coat the folds of her pussy.
Her clit throbbed, practically begging for attention, and the sounds of pleasure, getting increasingly louder and more frequent, were not helping. Flopping back on the mattress, she slid her hand down her belly until the very tips of her fingers rested just above her mound.
Did she dare?
“Kerek!” Thantos cried out for his lover, and Kim threw caution to the wind.
Fuck it. It wasn’t not like they were going to hear her own soft gasps through the noise Thantos was making. As if it had a mind of its own, Kim’s hand slipped the rest of the way down, and her index finger brushed over her straining clit.
A groan worked its way up her throat, and she applied even more pressure to the swollen little nub. Dear god, nothing had ever felt so good before. Not even her favorite purple vibrator on its highest setting gave her half as much pleasure as her single finger.
Was it something in the water? Okay, cancel that. She hadn’t had any water to drink. Something in the food then?
Whatever. All that really mattered was getting off right now.
Her pleasure ratcheted up higher, and she sped up the movements of her finger, stroking her clit in small, concentric circles in her effort to relieve some of the pressure that was building up inside her.
She groaned again, partly from pleasure and partly from frustration. None of the usual tricks were working, and her heart was racing faster than normal. Was it possible that her heart could beat fast enough to pound right out of her chest? God, she hoped her rib cage was strong enough to contain her heart because she was pretty sure her heart was about to explode.
“What the devil is going on here?” Kerek roared, breaking her out of the trance she had been in.
She jerked her hand back and blushed to the roots of her hair. “What are you doing out here?” she asked, pushing herself up and out of the bed so fast, she almost toppled over.
Kerek’s chest was pumping as he breathed, his huge cock pulsing rhythmically. “What have you done to Thantos?” he shouted, advancing on her with rage in his eyes.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she shouted right back.
Now that the bedroom door was open, Kim could hear Thantos’s desperate whimpers. “What are you doing to him?” she demanded, storming over to the door and peeking around Kerek’s massive body.
The sight that met her eyes took her breath away.
Thantos’s wrists were trapped by some sort of cuffs, which were attached to a ring in the wall. His head was tossing on the pillow, his long red hair spread out dramatically on the crisp white sheets.
Her eyes travelled farther down Thantos’s body, taking in the nipple clamps that seemed to be vibrating, and the black plug his spread, bent legs displayed.
His dick was leaking steadily, and if the pool of fluid collecting on his lower belly was any indication, it had been for some time now.
The expression on Thantos’s face was far from serene. He looked tormented. “Help him,” she said, rushing over to him.
“What the fuck do you think I’ve been trying to do?” Kerek bellowed. “I’ve been trying to relieve some of his need, but he can’t orgasm. Why is that?”
She would have shrugged, but Thantos’s earlier words came back to her. Helan mates are highly sexual and feel the need to orgasm several times a day. Bonded mates can’t find satisfaction without their mate. “He needs you to come before he can, right?”
Kerek blew out a sigh that sounded like pure frustration. “Yes, but the kicker is I need him to come as well. Bonded mates tend to have simultaneous orgasms.”

Whoa! Sounds good. Thanks so much for stopping by and happy (hot) reading! ;)
