Happy Six Sentence Sunday! Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to read this week's snippet. I really appreciate your time and the comments you leave for me.
Today I'm offering more from The Beltane Witch. In this snippet, Sabrina wakes up in the real world to a nasty headache and worried friends. She'd visited Tir na nOg, the spirit realm of the Celts, and come close to death. Darius pulled her back from the edge and agrees with her friends that she needs to go home and rest. And he'd be happy to care for her.
Irritation
filtered through the pain in Sabrina’s head. “You did this on purpose…”
He froze and
outrage filled his expression. “I did nothing of the sort, Ms. Foxglove. It was an accident.”
“You just want me to
host the…dignitaries.”
He sounds rather offended by her assertion. Could that be because he likes the idea of getting in her house? The "dignitaries" is the Summer Queen's Court. There are several great authors on the Six Sentence Sunday list and a few of my favorites are Karla Doyle, Sarah Ballance, Silver James, Zee Monodee, and Goran Zidar. Thank you for stopping by and happy reading! :)
Yes, I think he has other reasons to bring her home. Nice six! :)
ReplyDeleteExpressive six! I like the interaction between these two!
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeletebtw comment moderation is a nice compromise between letting spammers have fun and making everyone do captcha. :)
I like the undertones. Good six!
ReplyDeleteAn argument is brewing...
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling she'll be mightily pissed off in a little while. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention, honey! xoxo
Great six! Can't wait to read more!
ReplyDeleteGreat dialogue and tension between them. I'm definitely wondering about the "dignitaries".
ReplyDeleteHmm, I think they are going to have a little tiff soon. Really interesting setup for this one. I'm interested!
ReplyDeleteI get a wealth of meaning from how she spit out the word dignitaries. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteShe just needs to rest, get rid of the headache and then have lots of energy to be pissed at him. LOL. Nice!
ReplyDeleteFantastic six.
ReplyDeleteI love the tension. Great banter!
ReplyDeleteWell, he's pretty quick to offer...
ReplyDeleteHe's going to have to work to convince her otherwise, methinks. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIntriguing six, look forward to finding out more!
ReplyDeleteGreat six! Leaves you wondering about those dignitaries...
ReplyDeleteOoh, never a good thing to attract the attention of the Sidhe. Grand stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, I wonder what he did to her that was an 'accident'. Sure doesn't look like an accident to me. Intriguing six Siobhan, and I like the names of places in this story.
ReplyDeleteI'm so intrigued by the dignitaries, her absolute refusal to host and her suspicion of him which is either misplaced (going off his offense) or right on the money and he's a great actor. Great snippet.
ReplyDeleteI agree, great tension through dialogue!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Gem, just who are these dignitaries? Intriguing six!
ReplyDeleteNice tension. Enjoyed this six.
ReplyDeleteGreat dialouge. I can understand her agitation. Hosting the summer queens court sounds like it would be an awful lot of work.
ReplyDeleteSo many questioned raised here. A definite page turner! And TY for the mention. ;c)
