Six Sentence Sunday - The Bone Flute - Reality Check

Happy Six Sentence Sunday and very happy holidays to you all! I'm celebrating my brother's wedding this weekend, so I won't be able to get to your sixes until later, but I will when I get home. :) Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to read this week's snippet during the busy holiday season. I really appreciate your time and the comments you leave for me. While my sixes aren't always right after each other, they are in chronological order. If you'd like to read last week's SSS post, it's here.

Today I'm offering another snippet from The Bone Flute, a paranormal romantic suspense. Jozsef has backed away, but when he told Rain he's a ghost, she doesn't believe him. She throws things at him to prove it. Unfortunately, he wins this round. This is in Jozsef's POV.

It took Rain several seconds to realize none of the objects hit him. When her awareness understood, her fury melted into breathless confusion, and fear entered her gaze once more.
“You were solid. How can you be a ghost? Ghosts aren’t solid or real!”
“Oh, I assure you, my lady, ghosts are real.”

He thinks he's so smart, but he doesn't expect what she does next. See you next week, lol! ;) There are several great authors on the Six Sentence Sunday list and a few of my favorites are Karla DoyleSarah BallanceSilver JamesLaura Kaye, Cara Michaels, and Goran Zidar. Thank you for stopping by and happy reading! :)
