Six Sentence Sunday - Her Devoted Vampire - Bridget Meets Fredrick

Hello, Sixers! I hope your few weeks without my additions have gone well. I've been editing and promoting because my latest release, Her Devoted Vampire, came out on February 22nd from Evernight Publishing. I appreciate all the comments I get and thank you so much for offering them. It makes my day. Several other authors also participate in Six Sentence Sunday and a few of my favorites are Gem Sivad, Zee Monodee, Stacey Kennedy, and Suzie Quint.

In this snippet, Bridget Shanahan has just recently met Fredrick MacGregor, the sexiest man she's ever seen, but she doesn't quite trust him when he offers to walk her home. The first line is hers.

"You might be one of the crazy ones I should be protected from. Thanks, but no.”

He laughed, and it wrapped around her like a warm scarf. “Certainly possible. You got it in one. I’m actually a nefarious criminal seeking illicit contact with a beautiful woman."

Oh, handsome, smart, and sarcastic. Yummy! Thank you so much for stopping by and if you want to read more, Her Devoted Vampire is available now for purchase. Happy reading! :)

  9. Loved the blanket line and I liked their banter!

(FYI-blogspot has a kink in their code that doesn't show the Captcha code for WordPress users, so I can't log in that way and then have to try alternatives. You might consider turning off Captcha on Sundays...)

  10. Always, always believe a man when he tells you his faults -- even when it's said in a joking manner. She's smart not to trust him!

  11. Joking or not, I wouldn't trust the guy. Bet she does, though.

  12. Great pickup line AND great foreshadowing of his alter-ego self, right?? Great six, Siobhan!! I was missing your posts. (The vampire and the dragon in the doctor's office--you left me hangin' girl!)

    1. All the better to entice you, my dear! ;) If it makes you feel any better, Fredrick is Drake's "nephew", as it were. I missed posting as well. :)

  15. See, when he says it, it doesn't sound that bad at all. (laughs)

  16. You know, that just made him sound even more crazy. How fun! Wonder how the evening will turn out. ;)
