Six Sentence Sunday - Queen Bitch of the Callowwood Pack - Job Offer

Welcome back, Sixers! It's Sunday again and I have a little piece of my recent release to share. Thank you so much for coming to visit my snippet. I really appreciate it.

In this snippet of Queen Bitch of the Callowwood Pack, Jeff hasn't seen Julianna since the party, and he's been going a little nuts. He has just offered her a job at his bar, but she's not convinced the job is real, though he assures her it is.

“Should I send you my resume and other credentials so you can make it official without it looking like you’re just trying to get into my pants?”
Did she really just say that?
Be honest, you do want to get into her pants, Jeff's Brother quipped.
Yeah, but that’s not why I offered her the job.
Oh yeah, why then?
To keep her close and see her every day without making it obvious that I’m favoring her over the others.

Oh, Jeff's got it bad. :D Thanks so much for stopping by. There several very good authors on the Six Sentence Sunday list and a few of my favorites are Cara Bristol, Dianne Hartsock, Goran Zidar, Zee Monodee, Karla Doyle, Gem Sivad, and Sarah Ballance. Happy reading! :)

  6. I take it you're using italics for telepathic speech? And he's not telepathic with her (at least not yet?) Be kind of awkward if she "hears" him.

  7. The dialogue between his mind and his Brother is painfully hilarious throughout the book. I enjoyed how tactful Jeff was, but he knew what he wanted and would get it eventually. Great six. Gives inner monologue another name.
