Eloise sat down on the stepped rock and put her bare feet in the cool water.
“Oohhhhh,” she moaned. She closed her eyes and dropped her head back, willing her unhappy thoughts to fade away.
Tommy’s not the right male for you. He might be alpha, but he’s not your True Mate, her Sister self remarked.
She’d always had trouble with the idea of “True Mates” in the werewolf communities. Her parents weren’t true mates and they got along just fine.
And just who do you think is my True Mate?
“Hello, Eloise.”
She opened her eyes and stared into the sexy face of Kyle Howler.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you check out the other stories on Madison's site. Happy reading! :)

Kyle Howler the werewolf made me laugh! But apart from that, I enjoyed this little love story, and I sympathise with poor Eloise debating the pressures of society against how she feels.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! Kyle Howler is a hottie, I'm guessing. Great job of combining a love story in a werewolf setting. Excellent internal dialog. This has real bite!

How kind of Kyle to show up in time to answer her question, lol. Love it, Siobhan!
ReplyDeleteHa! Got me. I was relaxing with my feet in the cool water and then bam! the werewolf and a plot twist in this little love story. Nice.

Kyle and Eloise, the lusting werewolves. Love it. Also, you framed this all so elegantly, I just didn't pause at all. Fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteAwww that is just so very lovely. What a wonderful job!

Knowing nothing else of the story, I'd say that Kyle is the true mate, though she will probably resist this idea, at least for part of the way. Well done.
ReplyDeleteDear Siobhan,
ReplyDeleteKyle Howler? I must admit there is a certain flair to the name. How could he not be Eloise's True Mate? Congrats on the May publication of your novel. I'll raise a glass to you as April ends.
Aloha,
Doug
Is there something with my trailing Douglas? Well, i find this story very beautiful and romantic...just while she was asking herself questions an answer appears! Good!

It feels like you had a lot of fun writing this one and it shines through. The various hints at a much broader narrative entice the reader nicely. Well done :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun story surrounding this snippet :) Loved it! (And congrats on being published with Siren)
