#SnippetSunday - WIP - Bittersweet Aftermath

Welcome to the Snippet Sunday on the Weird, the Wild, and the Wicked. Thank you so much for visiting. If you choose to comment today, I really appreciate it. Currently, the snippets are from a Work in Progress, the third story in the Cloudburst, Colorado series, and while they aren't consecutive, they are in order within the story. You can read last week's snippet HERE.

Today, I'm offering another snippet from the first chapter of The Cloudburst Coffee and Spa, a WIP in the Cloudburst Colorado series that deals with some of the darker kinks in love. Moira has just shared a release with Aiden, and she only wants more. But Aiden knows her family doesn't approve, and like all stubborn heroes, is trying to protect her. The snippet is probably NSFW and it's unedited.

She moaned long and hard, dropping her head against the cold glass and tried to regain her breath. Holy Goddess of the Valley! What had just happened? Her breath shuddered from her chest as she recovered from Aiden’s erotic and intimate actions outside. Sweet joy curled through her, but she only wanted more. More of this, more of Aiden. Only with Aiden.
No one but you, Moira Callahan.
The voice came out of nowhere and sang along her nerve endings, making her shiver.
“Aiden?” She opened her eyes to stare out into the murky darkness.
No answer, but the lightning flashed again and he still stood there, his feet braced apart and his hand still wrapped around his rigid dick. His blazing eyes met hers through the rainy window and she felt his need and desire as if they were two halves of a fire burning within her.
“Aiden.” She flattened a hand against the window, wanting him to come to her more than anything else and knowing she could soothe his heartache. She knew it, with all her heart. “Please, let me in.”
The lightning flashed one last time, but Aiden was gone and her heart went with him.
“Aiden, please.” Her hand tightened into a fist. “Please stay.”
Be safe and be loved, Mistress Cloudburst.

Parting is such sweet sorrow, and more agonizing when you're 16, eh? ;) If you'd like to see a photo of the inspiration for Aiden, click HERE. There are several great authors on the Weekend Writing Warrior list and in the Snippet Sunday Facebook group. A few of my favorites are Anastasia Vitsky, SJ Maylee, Goran Zidar, Zee Monodee, and A.S. Fenichel.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy reading. :)

  4. They share a psychic connection? Or are these memories from the last time they parted?

  6. *sigh* Not sure whether i'm moved more by her heart going with him or by her "curse" [Holy Goddess of the Valley]!

I feel like Ralph on The Simpsons: it's heartbreaking AND funny!
