Six Sentence Sunday - The Beltane Witch - Determined House Guest

Happy Six Sentence Sunday! Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to read this week's snippet. I really appreciate your time and the comments you leave for me.

Today I'm offering more from The Beltane Witch. In this snippet, Sabrina wakes up in the real world to a nasty headache and worried friends. She'd visited Tir na nOg, the spirit realm of the Celts, and come close to death. Darius pulled her back from the edge and agrees with her friends that she needs to go home and rest. And he'd be happy to care for her.

Irritation filtered through the pain in Sabrina’s head. “You did this on purpose…”
He froze and outrage filled his expression. “I did nothing of the sort, Ms. Foxglove. It was an accident.”
“You just want me to host the…dignitaries.”

He sounds rather offended by her assertion. Could that be because he likes the idea of getting in her house? The "dignitaries" is the Summer Queen's Court. There are several great authors on the Six Sentence Sunday list and a few of my favorites are Karla DoyleSarah BallanceSilver JamesZee Monodee, and Goran Zidar. Thank you for stopping by and happy reading! :)

  13. Hmm, I wonder what he did to her that was an 'accident'. Sure doesn't look like an accident to me. Intriguing six Siobhan, and I like the names of places in this story.

  14. I'm so intrigued by the dignitaries, her absolute refusal to host and her suspicion of him which is either misplaced (going off his offense) or right on the money and he's a great actor. Great snippet.

  17. Great dialouge. I can understand her agitation. Hosting the summer queens court sounds like it would be an awful lot of work.
