Six Sentence Sunday - Queen Bitch of the Callowwood Pack - Clarification

Welcome back, Sixers! It's Sunday again and I have a little piece of my new release to share. Thank you so much for coming to visit my snippet. I really appreciate it.

In this snippet of Queen Bitch of the Callowwood Pack, Julianna Morris puts the hero, Jeff Lightfoot, on the spot about his earlier ambivalence toward her. The scene is written in Julianna's POV.

He stiffened with surprise at her formality and pulled her to face him.
“Call me Jeff, ‘Mr. Lightfoot’ is too formal for friends.”
Are we friends, Jeff?”
He cocked his head, thoughtfully. “I always thought we were, didn’t you?”
Can we be friends with benefits?

Stick it to him, girl, and ask for what you want! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by. There several very good authors on the Six Sentence Sunday list and a few of my favorites are Cara Bristol, Dianne Hartsock, Goran Zidar, Zee Monodee, Silver James, and Sarah Ballance. Happy reading! :)
