Cover Reveal! Exquisite Trouble by Ann Mayburn

Welcome to the Weird, the Wild, & the Wicked for a very special event. My friend Ann Mayburn, one of the coolest women I know asked if I'd be willing to show off her upcoming release. Hello, do greyhounds chase rabbits? YES! Her new book, Exquisite Trouble, comes out August 2nd 2014.

This is a New Adult erotic biker romance and knowing Ann, it'll be hot stuff. :)

Here's the blurb:

Before I met Smoke I'd never been kissed, really kissed, by a man, let alone a biker sex god bent on taking my virginity and my heart.

I got dragged into the deadly world of the Iron Horse MC by my crazy twin sister who is engaged to the club’s President and the schemes of my even crazier mom who only cares about herself. Smoke has been assigned by the club to keep me safe even though he’s everything that I should be afraid of. He's the kind of man who lives by his own rules and does whatever he wants whenever he wants, but he treats me like I’m something rare and precious, not a socially dysfunctional basket case who has no idea how to love, but needs him more than her next breath.

Not that my feelings matter, because if we don't find my mother soon, the only thing I'll have to be worried about is who is going to kill me first.

About Ann

Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she will deny to her children that it ever happened.

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

Thanks for stopping by. Keep an eye out for Exquisite Trouble, coming August 2nd 2014. Happy reading. :)

Cover Reveal! Penance by Ann Mayburn

*SQUEEEE!* Welcome to the Weird, the Wild, & the Wicked for a very special event. My friend Ann Mayburn, a hot and prolific erotic romance author, has asked me to help show off her gorgeous new cover art for her upcoming release, Penance.

This is the sequel and conclusion to the Still: Long, Slow Tease 1. Do you like FemDommes in BDSM tales? Ann writes them very well and I loved Still. The expected release date is March 6th 2014. I can hardly wait.

If you'd like to read the first story in this two book series, here's the blurb:

The story of a forbidden love forged in the heat of battle, a war hero haunted by PTSD, and the Dominatrix who won't admit her love for him, yet can't live without him kneeling at her side.

Dr. Michelle Sapphire and Gunnery Sergeant Wyatt Callahan formed an unbreakable bond and an unacknowledged, forbidden attraction to each other while serving together in Afghanistan. Their lives are forever changed when a mortar attack grievously wounds Wyatt and Michelle brings him back from the brink of death. But when they both return to the civilian world, Michelle discovers that her rock-solid Marine is suffering from severe PTSD and may even be suicidal.

Wyatt Callahan fell hard for the aristocratic blonde doctor the moment he laid eyes on her. After reentering civilian life in his hometown near Austin, Texas, Wyatt is plagued by nightmares of the death and suffering he witnessed during the war. He'd love to reach out to Michelle, but Michelle is a Dominatrix, and she has made it very clear to Wyatt she isn't interested in a relationship with anyone who doesn't accept her lifestyle. An Alpha male to the core, he can't imagine the appeal of being submissive. At the same time, the idea of serving Michelle, of being everything she wants and needs, rings true in his wounded soul.

Michelle has dark secrets of her own, and together with Wyatt she will have to battle her personal demons during their emotional journey of healing, redemption, and love.

Karma

“Welcome to Proxima Station. Is your visit business or personal?” The droid’s programmed greeting was so chipper it made me cringe.

“My visit? It’s uh…personal.”

“Alrighty then. Your application has been cleared. Please enjoy your stay!”

“Yeah, sure.” Who the hell came to the zero-g honeymoon hotspot of the quadrant for business? I waded through a sea of lovey-dovey couples & trios and quickly decided that coming on my honeymoon alone had been a very bad idea.

This was supposed to be the best week of my life, a celebration of love and happily ever after. Instead, it was shaping up to be a week of eating ice cream and drinking myself to death at the zero-g bar. At least I still had Tad’s credit chip. Not that he knew that. Yet.

“I hope she was worth it, buddy.”

I was still cursing my cheating ex when I went to board the shuttle to my hotel, which was probably why I tripped and landed flat on my face at the driver’s feet.

“Are you okay?” The driver had a nice voice, deep and gravelly. I knew someone who had a voice like that once. I screwed up and broke his heart. Karma had paid me back for that in spades.

“Nothing serious.” I wiped the blood from my split lip and look up into a pair of familiar green eyes. Jake.

It looked like karma was balancing the scales again. This time, I wouldn’t screw it up.

Congratulations Three Time Winner Susan, Cara, Megan, and Rebecca! Please DM or PM me with your email addresses so Ann can contact you for your prizes. And don't forget to claim your badges and display them with pride. You certainly earned it! :)

Pass on the great news on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, shiny mirrors, Morse Code, and signal flags. Check out all the stories here. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading! :)
