In Las Vegas, we celebrate loudly and brightly, usually with as much alcohol and food as possible (Hey, it's Vegas, where everything is over the top).
But what I really love about this country is the ability of the people welcome everyone from anywhere to share in celebration. I love that we cheer on sports:
Decorate with the national flag:
Honor our military:
And our national heritage:
So Happy Birthday, America!
We've made it another year for all our foibles and uncertainties. I'm proud to be an American and am grateful for the history that got me here. :)
